What's the role?
The Material Planner will be responsible to ensure that there is an optimization of stock and service level at all locations in line with company objectives.

What does the role involve?
Partner with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Marketing and Finance to achieve targeted sales and delivery performance
Responsible for planning, forecasting and the release of purchasing orders to ensure targeted product availability at optimum inventory levels with pro-active management of system / planning alerts
Primary driver of marketing efforts to reduce obsolescence (obsolescence pre-warning, sell-offs, pruning). This also includes ensuring all promotions and phase-in, phase-out items are planned effectively; define SKU positioning for the respective markets.

What you need is:
- A Master or Bachelor in Material Planning / Inventory Management / Supply Chain Management or related disciplines
- At least 2 years’ experience in material planning and inventory management
- Proficient with ERP system including DRP / MRP, purchasing, inventory modules and SAP/APO
- Strong analytical skill in data analysis and reporting
- Team player with strong customer mind-set
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Well organized, self-motivated and a “can-do” attitude
- For future career progression, incumbent must be willing to travel / relocate
