What does the role involve?

The Key Account manager role is a sales role in the Offshore segment of the Energy and Industry team. As a Key Account Manager, you will be focusing on a portfolio of key accounts important for the Offshore segment in Singapore.

Ours is a model of professional, consultative selling and it’s a hands-on job. It means rolling up your sleeves to demonstrate some of the most pioneering products in the industry, while selling our state-of-the-art software along with all the services and aftercare that come with the Hilti name. Far from traditional cold calling, it’s about building relationships with warm and responsive customers and helping them find the most innovative and cost-efficient solutions for their needs. Understanding customers’ needs and transforming it into our business opportunities will be crucial at all times.

Principal Functions and Accountabilities include:

Achieve company’s objectives by meeting sales targets from assigned territory. Having good understanding of customer’s business (application & buying behavior) and offshore segment know-how is a must.
Developing customer base by building good relationships with key customers. Strengthen customer bonding through regular visits and ferret out all business opportunities.
Constantly aware of market conditions and communicate them to the team and management. (such as opportunities, threats, competitive information, trends)
Cross-functional collaboration such as liaise and co-ordinate closely with the Marketing Team to develop and implement promotional activities targeted at the assigned trades.

What you need is:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably Civil, Mechanical or Electrical.
  • At least 3- 5 years of sales experience in managing accounts with proven success record
  • An experience with or within Energy Projects in Singapore is preferred. Existing network with Singapore EPCs, yards and owners is a plus.
  • Technical mindset and understanding of dynamics in offshore business
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, independent, dynamic and highly motivated
  • Due to the nature of the role, a driving license is essential
