Engineering Intern, Lean (Aug to Dec 2019)
What's the role?
You’ll be the leading force of our Tool service center team as well as our multi-disciplinary Business Unit Tool Service and thus move with us to the next step of our Lean journey. In order to increase efficiency and agility within the Tool you’ll be running projects related to Lean, process management and value-stream optimization. What does the role involve?
As intern in our department you’ll be part of the local Tool Service Center in Singapore, responsible for quality, costs and customer satisfaction of our best in class in-house global repair center. You’ll work closely with our experts, technicians and management to map and optimize the end to end value stream of the repair process.
Your key responsibilities will be supporting our interdisciplinary team in managing a wide range of projects focusing on process, technologies and methods like: material flow automation, Kanban, SFM, CIP, process flow assessment, data analytics, condition monitoring, repair pick up and last mile delivery.

What you need is:
- Student pursuing Bachelor in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline
- Excellent analytical skills and high proficiency with associated tools (MS Office, incl. Excel Visual Basic)
- Passion for creative tasks and high motivation to implement out-of-the-box ideas
- Strong communication skills, with excellent English and interpersonal skills
- Energy, courage and sharp thinking
- Hands-on mentality
