What's the role?

Reporting to the Head of Offshore for South East Asia, this role is a newly created role within the recently-formed South Asia Pacific Region (A2) following the acquisition of the Norwegian company Oglaend Systems by Hilti. The geographical scope of this role comprises of 7 markets: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and Brunei. This role will have complete responsibility to maximize the share of wallet for Hilti & Oglaend applications on Offshore projects in South East Asia. Offshore in Hilti Energy & Industry refers to upstream segment for oil & gas, marine and offshore wind.

What does the role involve?

Sales: lead combined Hilti & Oglaend teams to maximize share of wallet on local and international Offshore projects.

Make bid proposals / contractual agreements and close deals for applications using Hilti & Oglaend solutions (grating fixing, multi discipline supports, integrated floor systems, electrical connections…)
Provide and ensure that all necessary technical & commercial support are in place for the project team to achieve the projects goals (qualitative & quantitative).
Manage sales, OPEX and ROS on assigned projects.
Project Management: manage internal and external stakeholders in a matrix organisation.

Craft direction for the Hilti & Oglaend project team by leveraging strategic thinking, sales acumen, planning & project management skills.
Monitor project execution through regular progress meetings and take required actions to achieve plan
Team leadership: lead the project team to achieve common targets.

Steer project team members located in multiple countries and ensures cross-border cooperation across multiple countries. Role involves working in a matrix as there will be no direct reports.

Responsible for relationship management of internal stakeholders (Business Developers, sales, engineering support, logistics) as well as external stakeholders (Owners, E&D Firms, EPC contractors & Contractors).
Act as SPoC (Single Point of Contact) for the project to all Hilti Oglaend departments as per BU’s & Products managers, Trade managers and support functions (Operations manager, Logistics, Finance, Legal).

What you need is:

  • Engineer with at least 5 years sales experience and technical knowledge of offshore industry standards. Past experience within offshore EPCs and yards is a plus
  • Fluency in English is a must, Mandarin / Tamil language are a plus
  • Experience in managing projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in presenting project status and risks to senior management (Gant charts, progress tracking…)
  • Mobility / flexibility in terms of travelling (based in SG with travel in SEA)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organizational structure
  • Self-motivated and hands-on profile with strong learning agility
  • Can work under pressure, independent and goal-oriented
